Gillian McGhee

Bringer of Chaos

Gillian has been practicing yoga for over a decade with the practice arriving, like it does for many of us, at the exact moment it was meant to. During a time of pain and complete disconnection from her body yoga helped her heal. With a background in martial arts Gillian was initially drawn to stronger practices that let her embody a sense of curiosity and playfulness. She believes that our relationship with yoga, movement and our body should change. It’s not about ‘slowing down’ or ‘getting postures’ it’s about moving in a way that works for us. Every time we step on the we feel different so why should we expect our practice to stay the same? Our relationship with the practice should evolve, adapt, and grow – just as we do.

Gillian believes that yoga gives us a deeper and more authentic connection to ourselves and gives us the courage to walk our own path even if the route isn’t the one most taken. She encourages you to be your own teacher, moving in a way that honours your body and feels good for you.
